Basing House Ruins

Ruins of a great Tudor house built in 1530. Fine 16thC tithe barn. Exhibition showing history of the site, house and family. Archaeological work in progress. Basing House was built on the site of a Norman castle and destroyed after the Civil War. Large recreated 17thC garden. Various guided tours and small 'living history' events on some Sundays.
